What…. is Get Up and Go?
A 7-week course on cross-cultural ministry designed to give you a better understanding of missions and an opportunity to serve Jesus Christ on a short-term team in another country. The course is presented by COAST 2 COAST WORLD MISSIONS, a ministry of Refuge Calvary Chapel in Huntington Beach. You will sit under instructors that have been directly involved in short-term and cross cultural missions.
Subjects in this course include:
- Support Team
- Missions Prayer
- The Call to Missions
- Brief History of Missions
- Servanthood
- Spiritual Warfare
- The Holy Spirit in Missions
- Personal Evangelism
- Conflict Resolution
- Cross Cultural Barriers

Why… should you Get Up and Go?
Because the assignment Jesus gave the church “to reach all people” is still in the process of being fulfilled. We want to send fully-prepared servants, who are passionate for God, into the fields that are ripe and ready for harvest. We want to provide the knowledge and experience that will help missionaries to be as effective as possible in their missionary endeavors… whether those are around the block, or around the world.

How much will it cost?
Tuition is $90.00
A $20.00 non-refundable application / registration fee should be sent with your application.
The remaining $70.00 is due on the first day of class.

Are you too busy to prepare?
The difference between success and failure is usually a matter of preparation. Whether you are building a house, starting a business, competing on an athletic team, raising chickens or children, or seeking to server God, it is crucial to prepare.
Consider the analogy of an athletic team. It’s true that some Christians never get “off the bench and into the game.” It’s sad that some believers seem content to be spiritual spectators, even though their contribution is desperately needed in the field. Then there are others that are easily excited and motivated to join in the work, yet seem to have a frustrating lack of effectiveness compared to others who seem to have some “magic secret.” What is the difference? The secret? Preparation.
Jesus prepared His desciples for three-and-one-half years. God prepared Moses for 80 years. Paul’s preparation seems to have included 14 years in the desert. So, in comparision, 7 weeks is not really a long time to invest in preparing for a journey that will change your life, as well as the lives of those you will touch.
This course will cost you. 3 hours a week in class. A few hours a week in private study and preparatory prayer; $90.00 tuition; maybe the sacrifice of a few luxuries and the rearranging of priorities. But, the payoff is incredible! You won’t be content to merely be a spectator any longer. You’ll be off the bench and in the game. And, just a final word of caution… Be careful! You just might get hooked on missions. It’s such a blast to serve Jesus with a team of people who are ready to “Get Up and Go”
