Prayer Requests
JUDY (mentee) -
Mentor Anne, Judy and I got together to celebrate our birthdays with dinner and a movie at my house. Judy is 26 years old. She is still at home serving her mom and family. We continue to pray for needed independence in Judy’s life.
PAULA (Bible study) -
Our dear one has been in-process for a long time in regard to her court case. Please pray the start of 2011 will bring resolution and the opportunity to move forward as we trust God for the
outcome.
CECYLIA (Bible study) -
She was released to the Accountability Commitment Program and attends the ACP site daily. Chaplain Rick holds Bible study on Thursday afternoons and she requested a contact from me. When I arrived, she told me that she doubted I would really come… makes me think of the adults in her life who must have failed her. We talked for 1-1/2 hours. She has a lot of family dysfunction. I encouraged Cecylia towards the path of forgiveness and letting the past go, and gave her a copy of Go In Peace for Teens. I can see a hunger for God’s peace
growing in Cecylia. Please pray for family restoration, that she will experience the deep love of God, and separate herself from her old lifestyle.
DANIELLE (Placement) -
My disciplee who was moved to a placement facility in Texas last year. She’s written me a couple of letters. Danielle is doing well, working her program, and gaining more privileges. She’s
working towards her Phase 2 which she hopes to have in February allowing for a week long furlough home. Her mom
came for a 3-day visit in December. She has a mentor and is able to attend church on Tuesdays.

Ministry Requests -
Please pray as I minister to the girls from incarceration and through release. Pray for solid relationships. Pray for wisdom – to love unconditionally while holding the girls accountable for wrong attitudes and actions.
• For youth who are incarcerated. For the Lord to draw youth to church services, Bible studies, and one-on-one counseling and discipleship.
• For youth “serving their time” in the community and for those who have been released. We need God’s grace and mercy upon our youth to seek after Him. For youth to trust Christ with their lives. For the Lord to break cycles of abuse, crime and incarceration in these families. For youth to “plug in” to Bible teaching churches where they will feel welcomed and loved, and to continue to abide in the Lord moment-by-moment.
• For youth who are out of the system. Prayer for those who are keeping one foot in the world. Thanking God for those who stay in touch and continue to ask for and receive spiritual input.

PACIFIC YOUTH STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS
• Prospective Volunteer Orientation – February 7th – We are in urgent need of volunteers for our sheltercare youth at the Orangewood Children’s Home. Please pray the Lord will draw His workers to minister to His hurting children
• Ministry Reconfiguration – Our Monday night Bible study volunteers just went through a major reconfiguration.
Every team changed either partners or locations. Please pray as the volunteers adjust to their new units and partners.
• PRAYER for all Pacific Youth staff, 40+ volunteers and their families. That we will have health, strength, and wisdom to continue the good fight in difficult correctional and community settings.
•For good relationships with institutional staff – for ministry activities to have “value” in their eyes.
•That we will bring glory to God in thought, word and actions.

Osh, Kyrgyzstan

June 15, 2010

Prayer Request
Ethnic violence has continued in the south of Kyrgyzstan all weekend. The
death toll has risen to 114 and 1475 injured. Estimates of as many as 75,000

Uzbeks have fled across the border to Uzbekistan with only what they could
carry. A planeload of expat workers from Jalalbad has already landed in
Bishkek. A group of 90 expats in Osh are right now being escorted to the
airport for evacuation. Please pray for their safety as it is extremely
dangerous. Armed gangs continue to attack Uzbek neighborhoods and villages.
The city of Osh has experienced tremendous destruction. The infrastructure
is destroyed; gas is shut off. Many are without food and water. A 24 hour
curfew is in effect in both cities so NO ONE can go out to obtain supplies.
Humanitarian aid is just beginning to arrive but can’t be safely
distributed.

Please pray for an end to this senseless violence, for the
protection of the expat community and also for our believing brothers and
sisters who can’t evacuate but must somehow survive in the midst of all
this!
